Disclosed are a system for measuring electric energy and a method for displaying the measured amount of electric energy. According to the present invention, the system comprises: a plurality of branch measuring instruments for measuring electric energy of a plurality branch distribution lines branched from a main distribution line, separately; at least one main measuring instrument for measuring the electric energy of the main distribution line and outputting information on the measured amount of the main distribution line and information on the measured amount separately measured by the branch measuring instruments; and a display device for receiving the information on the measured amount separately measured by the main measuring instrument and the branch measuring instruments and displaying each information on the measured amount of the main and branch measuring instruments, information on the totally summed measured amount, and information on the summed measured amount of the grouped branch measuring instruments. Accordingly, the measuring instruments formed on each of the branched distribution lines are selectively grouped and an electric energy measured amount of the grouped measuring instruments is divided for each group to be displayed.
