Method of arrangement of measurement points for magnetic field mapping and method of magnetic field mapping using the same

We propose a parallel cylindrical line (PCL) arrangement method which maps the magnetic field using the solution of the Laplace equation in the cylindrical coordinate system. The present invention provides a numerical method based on solving Laplace's equations in a cylindrical coordinate system to map the magnetic field in the cylindrical center volume of the magnet. For the mapping procedure, the measurement points can be arranged along a number of circles parallel to the z = 0 plane. The trajectories of the probes become a number of PCLs within the central volume of the magnet. The measurement points are uniformly distributed on each circle.
