The present invention relates to an environment control system for a closed-type plant factory. In particular, the environment control system can, through an appropriate introduction of outside air, can save energy while maintaining optimal environments for producing plants for use in production of drugs. Furthermore, the environment control system, when in a daytime mode, can provide pleasant environments to operators as well as to the plants. Also, during the daytime mode when photosynthesis takes place in the plants, the environment control system controls the introduction of outside air for CO_2 concentration. Alternatively, during a nighttime mode when only respiration takes place in the plants, since there is no effect of CO_2, the environment control system can perform air-cooling using outside air, thereby saving energy. Also, when an indoor CO_2 concentration is within an upper limit value and a lower limit value, the environment control system controls the introduction of outside air by exploiting a difference in enthalpy between inside air and outside air, and thus can enable an appropriate introduction of outside air and save energy through air-cooling using the outside air.
