The present invention relates to a method for predicting an accident and tracking an abnormal material inflow path through monitoring a water treatment system. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method for predicting an accident by monitoring a water treatment system comprises: a danger level setting step of collecting state information including material information, installation information, repair information, and accident history information of facility components making up a water treatment system to quantitatively analyze states of the facility components and set danger levels classified into preset classes for each facility component based on analysis results; an accident information providing step of supplying information of a facility component determined to have a high accident probability from the danger levels set to the facility components to a manager terminal; and a response strategy providing step of determining an accident point and an accident type when an accident occurs, and establishing an accident response strategy in accordance with determination results to supply the accident response strategy to the manager terminal. According to another embodiment of the present invention, the method for tracking an abnormal material inflow path by monitoring of a water treatment system comprises: a sensing step of sensing whether an abnormal material flows into a fluid from a sensor installed on one or more flow passages making up a water treatment system; and a tracking step of acquiring a position of a flow passage where an abnormal material is sensed when a flow of an abnormal material into the fluid is sensed in the sensing step, and selecting a flow passage with a high probability of an inflow of an abnormal material based on damage history information of flow passages adjacent to the acquired position of the flow passage to track the inflow path of abnormal material.
