The present invention relates to a high-frequency induction pyrolysis process for treating an exhaust gas mixture containing nitrous oxide gas discharged from an adipic acid production process, a nitric acid production process, a caprolactam production process, and a nitrous oxide production process. The high frequency induction heating pyrolysis process of the present invention comprises a high frequency induction pyrolysis reactor for decomposing a nitrous oxide gas mixture into nitrogen and oxygen, a high frequency induction heating system and a heat exchanger for recovering energy from a pyrolysis gas mixture at a high temperature. The nitrous oxide-containing gas mixture is fed to a heat exchanger and preheated to a high temperature cracking gas mixture exiting the high frequency induction heating pyrolysis reactor and fed to the high frequency induction pyrolysis reactor. The internal temperature of the high-frequency induction heating pyrolysis reactor is preferably controlled in the range of 800 to 1,200 by the high-frequency induction heating system. The residence time in the high-frequency induction heating pyrolysis reactor of the nitrous oxide-containing gas mixture is preferably 0.5 to 5 seconds.
