The present invention relates to a vertical maintenance and impact protection device of a staff for geodetic surveying and, more specifically to a vertical maintenance and impact protection device of a staff for geodetic surveying, comprising: a movement unit provided with a plurality of wheels to move in all directions; an installation unit coupled to the movement unit to support an upper end of a staff unit; and a posture arrangement unit coupled between the installation unit and the staff unit to enable the staff unit to be vertically disposed. Therefore, verticality of the staff can be automatically arranged and, at the same time, the staff can be protected from external impacts generated surrounding the staff.
