The present invention relates to an ion-exchanged (metal-doped, metal-exchanged) zeolite and a process for the production of a zeotype. In particular, the applied method uses a sublimation step of introducing ions into the channels of the zeolite material. Thus, according to the drying process, the solvent is not involved, which eliminates certain problems associated with the wet swap process known in the art.
