Distributed antenna systems (DAS) may comprise a plurality of spatially separated remote antenna units. According to at least one example, a first group of remote antenna units may simulate downlink transmissions on the first carrier to a particular sector identity (ID). A second group of remote antenna units comprising at least one remote antenna unit different from the first group may be capable of mutilating downlink transmissions on the second carrier to the same sector ID. According to at least one other example, two or more remote antenna units comprising respective coverage areas that are not adjacent to each other can be used to remultide the downlink transmissions.
