The present invention relates to a safety footplate installed on a platform and a safety footplate installation method thereof. More specifically, a safety footplate for a platform is installed on a part between a safety line and a safety door of the upper part of the platform including finishing, mortar, and structure layer. The safety footplate comprises: a body installed in a space formed in a finishing stone layer and the mortar layer of a part of the safety door of the upper part of the platform and the safety line; a moving footplate installed with an inclination in the body to be inserted or withdrawn into or from the body; a tilt plate formed along the upper part of the body and the ground of a part between a safety door on the upper part of the platform and the safety line; and a link installed between the body and the moving footplate. Moreover, a safety footplate installation method for a platform installed in a part between the safety door on the upper part of the platform and the safety line to be operated in a space between a stopped train and the platform comprises: a space forming step of removing finishing stone and the mortar layer from a part between the safety door on the upper part of the platform and the safety line, and performing excavation to form a space part; a cable laying step of laying a cable in the space formed through the space forming step; and a body installation step of installing the body of the safety footplate in the formed space after the cable laying step.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
