The present invention relates to an underground column wall construction method using a water-swelling water stop material and an underground column wall constructed by using the same, wherein a reinforcing bar net provided with a water-swelling water stop material is placed in an overlapped portion of an in-site concrete pile to maximally secure water blocking performance. Moreover, the water-swelling water stop material is vertically and simply placed and set in the overlapped portion formed when constructing an underground column wall by using the reinforcing bar net, and is embedded by in-site concrete.
