The present invention relates to a LoRa communication system with improved data rate and a method thereof. A transmitting apparatus of the present invention comprises the steps of: determining a transmission method when receiving a packet to be transmitted; transmitting, when determined transmission method is an enhanced transmission method, a preamble signal indicating that the packet is to be transmitted in the enhanced transmission method; converting a n^th data of the packet into an up-chirp signal; converting a (n+1)^th data of the packet into a down-chirp signal; and adding the n^th data converted into the up-chirp signal and the (n+1)^th data of the packet converted into the down-chirp signal to generate a transmission signal, and transmitting the transmission signal to a receiving apparatus.
