A novel Komagataeibacter rhaeticus Strain and Method for Producing Cellulose Sheet Using the Same

The present invention provides a Komagataeibacter rhaeticus KOSS-15 strain, a composition for producing a cellulose sheet comprising the strain or a culture, and a method for producing a cellulose sheet comprising a step of culturing the strain. The cellulose sheet produced by the Komagataeibacter rhaeticus KOSS-15 strain of the present invention exhibits high tensile strength and burst strength as compared with the cellulose sheet of Acetobacter xylinum, which is conventionally known as the most excellent microorganism in the production yield of cellulose, and it is possible to reduce, by 5-6 times, a content of the saccharide source necessary for producing a cellulose sheet of the same weight.
