The present invention relates to an active global positioning system (GPS) antenna apparatus capable of conducting a self-environment test and a system thereof. According to the present invention, the active GPS antenna apparatus capable of conducting a self-environment test comprises: an antenna unit which receives an input signal of a GPS; a coupler which generates a circularly polarized wave for the input signal of GPS; a low noise amplification unit which includes a first low noise amplifier (LNA) consecutively connected to the coupler to acquire a low noise index which generates a GPS input signal amplified by two steps in relation to the circularly polarized GPS input signal and a second LNA to amplify and stabilize a signal and which provides a GPS output signal; and a self-environment testing unit which, when the output signal of GPS fails to satisfy a target standard, calculates a relative index by the low noise amplification unit and conducts the self-environment test. As such, according to the present invention, the apparatus is able to conduct a self-environment test to check the normal operation of the GPS antenna even in an environment with no echolucent chamber installed.
