The present invention relates to a composition for controlling Bursaphelenchus xylophilus comprising a novel avermectin glycoside as an active ingredient. The avermectin glycoside is produced by comprising a step of adding any sugar selected from the group consisting of glucose, galactose, fucose and deoxy-glucose to avermectin B1a using glycosyl transferase, and has an enhanced insecticidal effect against Bursaphelenchus xylophilus compared to conventional avermectin, thereby being usefully used in industry related to Bursaphelenchus xylophilus control.
