The present invention relates to an apparatus for preventing a death leap, which includes: a sensing signal reception unit receiving a sensing signal with a user terminal respectively from each of a first sensing module and a second sensing module which are spaced apart by a specific distance within a death leap dangerous area, and a third sensing module which is positioned between the first and second sensing modules; a user location detection unit estimating a location of the user terminal based on an intensity of the sensing signal; a relative change rate calculation unit calculating a relative change rate of periodic change rate related to each of the sensing signals from one of the first and second sensing modules and the third sensing module determined by the location of the user terminal; and a death leap prevention corresponding unit providing death leap prevention actions for the user terminal step by step according to an elapsed time of the relative rate continuing within a reference threshold range. According to the present invention, it is possible to maximize a prevention effect by dynamically adjusting a monitoring period for a death leap area.
