The present invention relates to a distress prevention safety system and a distress prevention method using the same. The distress prevention safety system allows a global positioning system (GPS) module, an SOS transmission and position tracking device, to be embedded in a life jacket, and tracks and senses the location of a survivor by using a GPS transceiver, thereby easily finding and quickly rescuing the survivor even when the survivor is drifted on the sea by the waves without staying at an accident point. In addition, by attaching a complex band formed of a fluorescent LED, a laser reflector lighting band, the present invention enables a wide-range search at night or long range, thereby quickly and efficiently performing rescue, and gradually keeps a heating action for a long time, thereby preventing the survivor from dying because of hypothermy even when the survivor is exposed to water for a long time.
