Antimicrobial Silicone-Based Wound Dressings Containing Particulate Chlorhexidine

Antimicrobial silicone-based dressings such as wound dressings are disclosed. One exemplary dressing includes a transparent, self-adhesive gel sheet cured from a liquid containing silicone, the sheet comprising (i) particulates of the chlorohexidine compound insoluble in the liquid dispersed therein; And (ii) at least one other antimicrobial agent. Methods of making and using silicone dressings are also disclosed.
