MCAMT Transgenic plant with regulated growth development and seed storage oil content using MCAMT gene from Arabidopsis thaliana and uses thereof

The present invention relates to a transgenic plant having growth, development, and seed storage oils regulated using the MCAMT gene derived from Arabidopsis thaliana; and uses of the same. Provided is the transgenic plant using a recombinant vector engineered so as to suppress or overexpress the expression of the MCAMT gene derived from Arabidopsis thaliana, and it has confirmed that the transgenic plant with suppressed expression of the MCAMT gene has significantly suppressed length of the leaf and development of seed embryos, while the transgenic plant with overexpressed expression of the MCAMT gene has significantly increased number of siliques, seed weight, and content of seed storage oils. Thus, the present invention may enable control over the growth and development of plants and may be beneficially used in producing vegetable oils and increasing the content of seed storage oils with low costs and little efforts.
