The present invention relates to an energy storage and generation system using air liquefaction, regasification, and expansion and a method thereof. According to the present invention, the system comprises: a hot thermal storage tank (hereinafter, referred to as an HTS tank) storing thermal energy generated from an air liquefaction process of compressing and cooling inducted air by multiple times to liquefy the inducted air; a cold thermal storage tank (hereinafter, referred to as a CTS tank) storing cold generated from a regasification and generation process of regasifying the air liquefied in the air liquefaction process to heat and expand the regasified air multiple times; an auxiliary HTS tank arranged separately from the HTS tank and collecting a part of the thermal energy generated from the air liquefaction process; and an auxiliary CTS tank arranged separately from the CTS tank and collecting a part of the cold generated from the regasification and generation process. Accordingly, a plan for efficiently using an available heat source of each process can be devised.
