A probe device for detecting defects in a steam generator tube and for detecting foreign objects around the steam generator tube

The present invention relates to a technique which detects defects of a heat transfer tube of a steam generator arranged in a nuclear power plant and detects surrounding foreign objects in a contact or a non-contact state with the heat transfer tube and, more specifically, to a technique which includes a bobbin probe for generating an eddy current and an array probe for sensing surrounding foreign objects in a contact or a non-contact state with a heat transfer tube by inducing a magnetic field change on the foreign objects to consequently detect defects of the heat transfer tube and detect surrounding foreign objects in a contact or a non-contact state with the heat transfer tube. According to the present invention, foreign objects outside a heat transfer tube can be effectively detected even if the foreign objects are non-magnetic bodies by including a first and a second drive coil and a pancake coil of an array probe.
