Disclosed is a multi-lane vehicle speed detecting apparatus (10) comprising: a transmitting unit (100) transmitting an electromagnetic wave for vehicle detection to a vehicle (V) passing through a detecting section (DL) across a plurality of lanes (L); a receiving unit (200) including a plurality of receiving channels (210) receiving a reflected signal that the electromagnetic wave transmitted from the transmitting unit (100) is reflected from the vehicle (V); a calculating unit (300) analyzing the reflected signal received through the receiving channels (210) to calculate vehicle information on the vehicle (V) passing through the detecting section (DL) and lane information on the lanes (L); and a receiving channel setting unit (400) turning off at least one of the plurality of receiving channels (210) based on the lane information to set some receiving channels (210) for receiving the reflected signal.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
