The present invention relates to cellulose nanofibril-based composites capable of changing color to pH level and a preparation method thereof. The cellulose nanofibril-based composites prepared according to the method of the present invention have a characteristic of changing to yellow under acidic condition of pH 5 or less and green under basic condition of pH 5 or higher, and color changes can be easily, visually recognized by changes in pH caused by food spoilage, and thus may be useful as a food packaging material or a sensor for detecting color change of pH.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2019
