The present invention relates to an IFN-α fusion protein in which cytoplasmic residual cell membrane permeation peptide (CTP) and polyethylene glycol (PEG) are bound to IFNα protein. The IFN-α fusion protein of the present invention maintains high intrinsic activity of interferon, prolongs half-life in vivo, and improves liver mobility. IFN-α fusion protein of the present invention can be used in the development of protein pharmaceuticals effective for the prevention or treatment of liver disease, including various viral infections.
