The present invention relates to a peptide for preventing or treating cancer capable of inducing cell death in a transcription-independent manner, a pharmaceutical composition comprising the same, and a screening method using the same. The peptide of the present invention can induce cell death by forming a complex with Bcl-X _L , which can be used for cancer treatment, while screening an anticancer agent using the structure of the complex.
