According to an embodiment of the present invention, a ring laser gyroscope comprises: a ring laser for generating a laser beam traveling in an opposite direction in a conduit including a laser gain medium; a spectroscopy part for analyzing an optical characteristic of an emitted light emitted from the ring laser to generate a spectroscopy spectrum; a current measuring part for measuring a discharge current flowing to the ring laser to generate a current measurement value; a temperature measuring part for measuring a temperature of the ring laser and generating a temperature measurement value; and a determination part for determining a purity and pressure of the laser gain medium on the basis of the spectroscopy spectrum, the current measurement value, and the temperature measurement value. Therefore, the present invention provides the ring laser gyroscope capable of measuring a change in pressure or a change in purity of the mixed gas inside the ring laser without destroying the ring laser.
