The present invention is to provide a carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) surface coating method capable of preventing damage of the CFRP surface by spray coating and firmly bonding the CFRP surface to a metal coating layer by spray coating, and a hydraulic cylinder comprising components coated by the method. To this end, the method comprises the following steps: forming a mesh layer on the CFRP surface; fixing the mesh layer by impregnating a heat resistant resin on the CFRP surface on which the mesh layer is formed; and forming a metal coating layer by spray coating on the mesh layer fixed as the heat resistant resin is immersed.
