The present invention relates to a specimen separation device for a sled test and a specimen separation method for a sled test. The device comprises: a U-shaped clamp and an explosion bolt fixing the specimen to a sled which moves along a track; and an ignition device which explodes the explosion bolt and separates the U-shaped clamp from the sled. The ignition device includes a conductor portion disposed on one side of the track, and a conducting body portion being in linear contact with the conductor portion when the sled moves along the track. The specimen is fixed to the sled by the U-shaped clamp and the explosion bolt such that the specimen can be restrained or fixed to the sled even in a test environment in which a supersonic speed is implemented. The ignition timing of the explosion bolt can be selectively applied by an engineer. The U-shaped clamp can be separated from the sled by the explosion of the explosion bolt. Therefore, the specimen can be separated from the sled at the end of the track.
