The present invention relates to a system for estimating SOC of a battery group constituting a plurality of battery cells which comprises: a battery group in which a plurality of battery cells are connected in series and parallel; a voltage sensor for individually sensing voltage of the battery cells; an MCU embedded with an algorithm for receiving sensed voltage data from the voltage sensor and configured to estimate SOC of the battery group; and an external display device for displaying SOC information by an output command of the MCU. The algorithm includes: a start step (S100); a voltage sensing step (S200); a primary SOC value display step (S300); a step (S400) of determining whether to exceed a threshold characteristic value of a voltage variation value; a secondarily SOC value display step (S500); and a step (S600) of determining whether to be equal or less than the threshold characteristic value of the voltage variation value.
