An endplate for a hot isostatic pressurization canister includes a central region and a main region extending radially from the central region and ending at a corner around the outer periphery of the endplate. The thickness of the endplates increases from the central area to the corners along the main area, forming an inclination angle. The corner includes an inner surface with a curved portion that allows the main area to smoothly transition to the lip. Also disclosed is a hot isostatic pressurization canister comprising at least one endplate with a method of hot isostatically pressurizing a metallurgical powder using the hot isostatic pressure canister.
