Embodiments of the present invention relate to the technical field of communications. Disclosed are a method, terminal and system for reducing the power consumption of a cluster terminal in a broadband cluster system. In this way, connected-mode single-call discontinuous reception in a public network standard can be applied to a terminal that is in an RRC idle state in a broadband cluster system, thereby reducing the power consumption of the terminal in a group call service process, and prolonging the service duration of a cluster terminal.
