FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ophthalmology and can be used to evaluate the biomechanical properties of the anterior lens capsule edge after conducting continuous circular capsulorhexis. Dissected lens capsule is folded along the central axis, suspended from a wire loop in such a way that the fold goes along the diameter of the sample. Upper end of the wire is fixed, the free edges of the sample are fixed in the pneumatic clamps of the testing machine INSTRON 3365. At the pressure of 2 atm, uniaxial stretching is performed at the speed of 2 mm/min and the biomechanical properties of the anterior capsule edge are evaluated for elongation at maximum tensile strength.;EFFECT: method provides the influence elimination of possible post-mortem phenomena, leveling the difference in the shapes of the obtained samples after performing femtosecond capsulotomy and continuous circular capsulorhexis by examining the dissected lens capsule for uniaxial tension in certain conditions and evaluating the biomechanical properties of the anterior capsule edge for elongation at maximum tensile strength.;1 cl, 2 dwg, 2 ex
