FIELD: technological processes.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to investment casting. Method of producing a wax pattern for an investment casting process includes positioning a ceramic core within a wax pattern mould. Ceramic core is supported from a flexible surface of the mould. Molten wax is injected into the mould around the ceramic core. Mould is removed after the wax has hardened. Ceramic core is supported at a certain location along its length during the step of injecting molten wax by locating a pin. Pin can interact with the support base formed on the core to provide support for the core along the axes.
