FIELD: measurement technology.;SUBSTANCE: usage: to study the differences in the structural state of carbon fibers after various thermomechanical effects by X-ray analysis. Summary of the invention is that the sample is prepared, installed in the holder of an X-ray unit with an acute-focus X-ray tube, preferably with a “Co” anode, with a curved coordinate-sensitive detector and with simultaneous registration of a diffraction pattern in a large interval of angles, while sample preparation consists in the preparation of powdered crushed samples of carbon fibers that have undergone high-temperature treatment at different heat treatment conditions and temperatures, includes cutting carbon fiber tow to a size of no more than 2 mm, grinding in a ball mill for 12–15 minutes, dispersing the powder obtained to a fraction of -50/+40 mcm, as well as in other grinding units, allowing to obtain carbon fiber powder of this fraction, the installation of the sample in the holder is made by pressing the obtained fraction of powder in a cuvette under a pressure of 0.2 MPa, while the diffractograms are read with a full set of reflexes, in the entire range of angles.;EFFECT: increase in the accuracy and reliability of the study of differences in the structural state of carbon fibers after various thermomechanical effects by X-ray diffraction, ability to obtain a diffractogram with a full set of reflexes in the entire range of angles.;1 cl, 10 dwg, 4 tbl
