FIELD: medicine.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to experimental medicine and can be used to form a model of open pneumothorax in pig. Thoracotomy is performed by dissecting the soft tissues of the anterior thoracic wall, in the anterolateral projection at the level of the VI intercostal space along the anterior axillary line to the parietal pleura, followed by resection of VI ribs, size 10.0 × 2.5 cm with the present parietal pleura and formation of the visually determined open pneumothorax additionally confirmed by X-ray examination of chest cavity organs.;EFFECT: method allows avoiding the transition of the open pneumothorax into a closed one, simulating pathological movements of the lungs.;1 cl, 5 dwg
