METHOD FOR DETECTING DAMAGES IN OUTER HULL PLATING

FIELD: shipbuilding.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of shipbuilding and ship repair and can be used in monitoring the technical condition of ship hulls. Method of detecting damage in the outer hull of a ship hull includes equipping the inner side of the hull plating with an alarm system made in the form of separate insulated sections. Each section contains an insulating film, two electrically conductive elements connected to the control unit, one of which is made in the form of a film, a control diode connected in parallel to the conducting elements. Voltage is applied to the alarm system of such polarity that in the system operability control mode – control diode passes current, and in the hull plating damage detecting mode – control diode is closed. When mounting the alarm system of an insulated section, insulating and conductive films are used in the form of strips, which are aligned, oriented with a conducting film upwards and along frames and fixed on the inside of the hull plating in the middle of the spans within one section. As a second conductive element, a string is used, which is oriented perpendicular to the frames and secured using insulating sleeves on the walls of the frames in rows above the fixed film strips parallel to the outer hull plating at a given distance.;EFFECT: invention provides operational control of the technical condition of the outer hull plating during operation, which increases the safety of navigation.;1 cl, 3 dwg
