FIELD: nuclear equipment.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear engineering and can be used for dismantling of graphite masonry when decommissioning a nuclear reactor. Method of process opening for dismantling of graphite masonry of stopped uranium-graphite reactor includes cutting holes in upper and lower plates of upper biological protection of nuclear reactor with exclusion of charge of area selected for opening. Holes are cut in the area chosen for the opening in two stages: at first, peripheral sections are cut out and removed, then - central, and the opening is closed with a protective cover.;EFFECT: invention provides safety for service personnel and does not increase formation of secondary radioactive wastes.;6 cl, 2 dwg
