Method includes selection of endogenous extracting solvent from carboxylic acids produced during anaerobic fermentation, Bringing the selected extracting solvent into contact with the fermented medium outside the fermentation reactor and without interruption of fermentation, separation of fermentation metabolites from the extractant.
