FIELD: physics.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the Rankine organic cycle (ROC) for conversion of waste heat of heat source (11), which is a compressed gas, into mechanical energy. ROC (8) is closed circuit (14) with two-phase working body, containing liquid pump (15) for providing circulation of working medium in circuit (14) in series through evaporator (10), in thermal contact with heat source (11), through expander (12), for example, turbine, for conversion of thermal energy of working medium into mechanical energy and through condenser (16), which is in thermal contact with cooling element (17). ROC (8) is equipped with means (21) for measuring mechanical energy, generated by expander (12), and control device (22), which performs adjustment of working medium supplied to vapor phase expander (12). Control device (22) is configured to adjust the vapor phase based on the measured mechanical energy such that the mechanical energy generated by expander (12) is maximum. Also disclosed is a compressor plant containing ROC (8).;EFFECT: adjustment of the vapor phase of the working medium supplied to the inlet of expander (12) allows adapting to changes in the temperature of the compressed gas, as a result of which an increase in the efficiency of ROC (8) is achieved.;16 cl, 4 dwg
