FIELD: agriculture.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture and can be used for sowing of grain crops. Method of sowing grain crops with formation of process tails involves sowing grain crops with seed drills with mechanical drive of sowing apparatuses. Technological tracks form double or single devices by means of devices mounted on front walls and bottoms of grain boxes (bins) with hydraulic drive and manual control with different intervals. When left double unsown strips corresponding to track of tractor, sowing units with even number of seeders are mounted on two devices to shut off inlet windows of housings of sowing apparatus on first left from longitudinal axis of tractor sowing machine and on first right. When single uninsulated strips are left with the same intervals corresponding to right wheel of tractor, oil supply is shut off with valves to hydraulic cylinder of gate valves corresponding to left wheel of tractor, which are in open position, and safety bolts are swirled into front threaded holes. To implement the method, a sowing machine is used, which contains a frame, grain trays, plowshares, coil sowing units for grain and devices for covering part of grain sowing apparatuses. Latter are made in form of toothed racks mounted on front walls and bottoms of grain boxes with possibility of reciprocating movement in fixed guides by means of tooth segments, tooth segments shafts, toothed segments shaft levers, hydraulic cylinders, bearing supports, double tee and pressure hoses and control valves.;EFFECT: use of invention will make it possible to expand technological capabilities of sowing machines with mechanical drive of sowing apparatuses, to increase their productivity and productivity of sown cereal crops.;9 cl, 14 dwg
