FIELD: mass entertainment.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to means of rest on water, in particular, to artificial devices for swimming using rivers and natural water bodies. Artificial water body for swimming includes a water pool and a water supply source. Pool is made in the form of at least one-level reservoir dug on one of the banks of the river or stream. Lengthwise axis of the basin is made at an angle "β” to flow direction equal to 30.0–60.0 degrees. Between the reservoir of the basin and the river or the groove there is an additional reservoir-deepening-settling basin with depth exceeding the depth of basin by 1.5–2.5 times. Along the perimeter of the basin at depth of 1.0–1.5 m there is a terrace with width of 3–5 meters.
