FIELD: nuclear physics and equipment.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for producing a lutecium-177 radionuclide without a carrier. Metal ytterbium is used as the target substance. Target substance is irradiated in a stream of thermal neutrons at the reactor. Separation of target substance is carried out by its evaporation into ballast volume in high vacuum at temperature of 700–800 °C. Product of reaction (Yb-176 (n,γ)→Yb-177→Lu-177) radionuclide lutecium-177 remains on the inner surface of the container, in which there was a target substance, from which radionuclide lutetium-177 is washed with a solution of hydrochloric or nitric acid.;EFFECT: easy production of radionuclide Lu-177 while maintaining high efficiency of its extraction from a target of metallic rubidium.;1 cl, 1 dwg
