FIELD: medical equipment; physics.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for automatic regulation and stabilization of synchrocyclotron intensity in proton-beam radiation of patients. Method is based on pulse-width autoregulation and stochastic change of pulse repetition of proton beam pulses by introducing negative feedback on sign of difference between measured and preset dose portions. There is also a device for realizing the method by introducing a relay autoregulator of intensity, which by the "yes-no" negative feedback signal stochastically changes the high-frequency program of the accelerating voltage on the duo, shifting its initial frequency by 1–2 % towards its decrease.;EFFECT: high reliability and accuracy of the method and device for providing it owing to rejection of analogue automatic control and stabilization of synchrocyclotron intensity in proton-beam irradiation of patients and use of more accurate and simple – pulse-width stochastic method.;2 cl, 2 dwg
