PREHEATING AND THERMAL CONTROL OF WORKING ROLLS IN METAL ROLLING PROCESSES AND THEIR CONTROL SYSTEM

FIELD: physics.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to use of hot aerosols 118 for preheating over the entire width of rolling mills 100 before processing a metal sheet or plate. Hot aerosols 118 can be controlled individually. Use of hot aerosols can allow rolling mill 100 to reach operating temperature and achieve desired heat bulge, so that metal sheet or plate 102 can be processed immediately with observance of tolerances on accuracy of flatness and size. Systems of hot aerosols 118 can be also equipped with existing systems of cooling liquids for creation of systems of thermal control of rolling mills 100 with bidirectional temperature control.;EFFECT: invention provides the possibility of eliminating the need for a transient period of heating working rolls in the rolling mill operation to reduce the amount of scrap material and reduce time losses.;32 cl, 8 dwg
