Stairway device with configuration options for barrier-free use and control system for optimizing the frequency of use

The invention relates to a staircase device, which makes it possible, in addition to the conventional, stepped use as needed additional, possibly mutually supporting tools for a barrier-free support of the device users in parts or over the entire useful surface of the device active. For this purpose, the stair device according to the invention provides various configuration modes, which are based on different needs of the device users for aids for barrier-free assistance in coping with the device slope or inclination. In a preferred embodiment, the device is transformed from the step shape into a (partially) continuous ramp slope. In a further preferred embodiment, from the side construction of the device, an automatically slidable (eg, electrically driven) transport carriage composed of individual segments is made available. Such a combined use design of the stair device according to the invention provides an alternative to structurally defined, separate multi-way guides for different user groups with their respective requirements for barrier-free support.
