The present invention relates to a heat pump apparatus (1), preferably a heat pumps laundry dryer (1) or a heat pumps washing dryer (1), with a process air circuit (12, 14, 15, 16) with at least one air return duct (15) and with a heat pump circuit (20 - 24) with at least one evaporator (21), wherein said air return duct (15) is formed, the evaporator (21) a flow (v) to a process air, so that the evaporator (21) and the process air can act in heat-exchange relationship with one another, wherein said air return duct (15) a first environment air heat exchanger (31) which is adapted, both the flow (v) of the process air as well as a flow (u) of an ambient air to be fed in such a manner, so that the ambient air can act in heat-exchange relationship with the process air. The heat pumps apparatus (1) is characterized in that the air recirculation channel (15) further comprising at least one second environment air heat exchanger (35) which is adapted, both the flow (v) of the process air as well as the flow (u) of the ambient air to be fed in such a manner, so that the ambient air can act in heat-exchange relationship with the process air.
