The invention relates to a drive system (1) for the eccentric drive of a vibrating element (2), in particular a vibrating plate of a wet cleaning device (3), wherein the drive system (1) comprises a motor with a motor shaft (4), a rotor connected to the motor shaft (4) (5) and one with the motor shaft (4) connected to the eccentric (6), wherein the eccentric (6) is arranged to convert a rotational movement of the motor shaft (4) in an eccentric oscillating movement of the vibrating element (2). In order to achieve unbalance compensation in an optimal manner, it is proposed that the rotor (5) be asymmetrical with respect to the motor shaft (4) in a cross-sectional plane (7, 8) perpendicular to the motor shaft (4) for unbalance compensation. Furthermore, a wet cleaning device (3) is proposed with a vibration plate receiving a cleaning element (15).
