There is disclosed a single-sided temporary restraint (SSTF) capable of maintaining a clamping force on a stack of material subject to material creep or squeeze-out of an additive during mounting processes. The SSTF comprises a rotationally limited, but translationally freely displaceable clamping sleeve body, which is arranged within an auxiliary structure such as a holding device housing. A holding device comprises the above-mentioned tension sleeve body, which at least partially displaces within the aforementioned auxiliary structure, and further comprises a threaded spindle for rotational engagement with the tension sleeve body, which is rotationally restricted via an anti-rotation means associated therewith and also the auxiliary structure but can move axially translationally free.
