Described is a method in the context of vehicle-to-vehicle communication between a host vehicle A and at least one other vehicle B, comprising: determining (100), transmitting (110) and receiving (120) records taking into account the current and future prospective ones location coordinates. The method then continuously determines possible conflict points (130, 140, 150), evaluates them and, depending on the time distance to the determined conflict point, performs conflict resolution with or without the use of random numbers (160). This conflict resolution results in a signal for adjusting the driving behavior of the host vehicle A (170) or maintaining the driving behavior of the host vehicle A (180).
