Embodiments provide for modifying an object code (1240) representing an object (102) to be physically spawned by a computerized AM system (100) using the object code (1240). The computerized method may include providing an interface (210, 250, 270) to enable a user to manually: select an area (266) within the object (102) in the object code (1240), wherein the object code (1240) includes a plurality of previously assigned building strategy parameters (92) for the object (102) controlling operation of the computerized AM system (100), and selectively modifying a building strategy parameter in the selected area (280, 324) in the object code (1240) for modification operating the computerized AM system (100) from the plurality of previously associated building strategy parameters (92) during construction of the object (102) by the computerized AM system (100).
