For clutter reduction in ultrasound elastic imaging (42), the contribution of clutter to different frequency components (eg, transmission fundamental and propagation of the second harmonic generated) is different. Consequently, a difference in the (40) displacements determined in the various frequency bands is used to reduce the contribution of clutter to the displacements (41) used for the elasticity imaging (42).
